FOSTER CARE

We recognize that there is a foster care crisis within our country, state, and county. With a desire to cultivate hope, families at Vintage 242 are standing in the gap, serving as foster parents, providing respite care, babysitting, helping with transportation and meals, as well as coaching and mentoring children and birth families.
As a church community, we are committed to investing in our child welfare employees, local foster parents, and those who have adopted through foster care. For more information, email fostercare@vintage242.com.

RECEIVING HOPE CENTER

Youth Sex Trafficking Residential Facility

In 2020, Wellspring Living opened the Receiving Hope Center – the state of Georgia’s first residential intake center for trafficked youth. Because of this facility, survivors of domestic minor sex trafficking will immediately enter into a safe environment and have all their needs met and assessments completed at one location. While at this residential facility, survivors will receive medical care, academic support, therapeutic and stabilization services for up to 90 days before moving to a long-term placement. Vintage is working alongside the leadership at the center to meet various needs they have for their teenagers.

WAYS TO INVEST INTO RECEIVING HOPE

Relationally:
Share the love of Jesus with the residents by building relationships through visiting them regularly. Visitors may do an art project, baking class, lead a bible study, or teach a life skill…the opportunities are endless. This type of engagement requires going through their volunteer training program.

Occasional Provision:
Donations of art supplies, special meals for the staff, field trips for residents, Christmas gifts, toiletries, and regularly needed items. Physical provision of labor by painting walls, gardening, and generally beautifying the facility.

Prayer:
Commit to praying for our Vintage volunteers and the residents of Receiving Hope!
